I genuinely loved the venue and the performance. I wasn't thrilled about going into the venue, though. They had me leave my tiny designer fanny pack in an envelope for $5 at an outdoor stall. Additionally, they made me buy a transparent bag for $10 for my belongings. It was difficult to locate the stall and get back my bag after the show, especially since the rain had damaged all the paperwork with my details. Live Nation, a clever tactic to increase profits. I might skip another Live Nation event in the future.
Worst concert ever. No longer a Madonna fan.
I was so disappointed in a concert for the first time in my life, despite having attended many concerts. It turned out to be the biggest letdown of what I believed would be a bucket list event! I am a longtime Madonna fan and was thrilled to see her after her Superbowl performance. I convinced three friends to join me in St. Paul to watch her show. Though I understand she may be tired of performing her 80s hits, those songs are what made her famous. I didn't anticipate a complete throwback performance, but I did hope she would include some of her old hits, maybe in a medley. However, her rendition of "Like A Virgin" was an odd chant of the classic tune, accompanied by inappropriate actions with the pianist. During the performance, one of my friends questioned, 'When did "Like A Virgin" become a ballad?' While I appreciate Madonna's more recent work, I was certain she would include some 80s hits, but instead, we only got a strange version of "Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer." The only exception was her exceptional performance of "Like A Prayer." She remains an amazing dancer with a strong voice, but I wished she showcased more of her iconic hits.
Fun Concert, Brought Back High School Memories
This was a great concert for nostalgic reasons. We had a great time, my best friend from High School and I attended. I was in awe of the band's performance, considering the age of some of the band members, 71 for Perry. They did not play 2 very popular songs, which was a bit disappointing. Although I would have preferred a few more songs, we had a great time. Perry was excellent on the guitar but appeared to slur his speech a bit. I recommend this concert, you will have a great time no matter what is played.

"I did not know Scruncho was appearing. All the comedians were great!! DeRay was the bomb.!!! Tony Roberts I love his opening 'where you been bi***?' I've seen him several times and he's a funny (Gangsta!) comedian. He's telling it like it is and that's why it's so funny. Corey Holcomb is a cold brother. I love him because he have me rolling so hard. I enjoyed the show. He reminds me so much of my oldest brother. I didn't know he was that funny. Hey, It's the truth what can you say, but he is a cold brother. Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer I will always love him he's a funny...."
A spectacular show
The show was stressful to check in to. It would have been nice if we had been informed ahead of time about the SAP Center's requirement for see through plastic bags/backpacks/purses or very small purses to get in. I can understand the need for security, but it would be helpful to let attendees know in advance. Otherwise, the skating show was wonderful. Great with acrobatics added to the fun, the show had colorful costumes, good music, and great special effects. We had to scrounge around for plastic bags or put stuff in our pockets, as nowhere on the tickets or website to buy the tickets was it mentioned.
Brandi Carlile is the Real Thing
Great show in South Lake Tahoe on August 2, Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer put on. This lady is even better in person, based upon her albums I have been a fan for some time. Very down to earth and unassuming, Brandi's onstage presence makes her so likable. With great range and delivering a very unique sound, her voice is fabulous. Very easy to relate to with meaningful lyrics, her songs are. Also amazing was the twins version of "Sound of Silence." I did the yell out request, but there apparently wasn't time to include it - wish Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer could have included "Hallelujah." A must see, great show!
